I Will Post Other Types of Reviews Eventually - Hataraku Maou-sama! Episode 1-6 Review

Well, now that we're a bit of a ways into the series, it's time for another review.

I have been enjoying this show quite a lot. It seems to be consistently entertaining, and the plot is starting to kick into high gear now that all of the main characters have shown up.  Now to break down the different parts.

Art:
I'm not exactly the best critic of this kind of thing, but I think the art in the show is pretty good. There have been a number of great moments where the art has made me laugh, including one spot that makes me lose my shit every time I see the scene.
No real problems with the animation, either.

Sound:
The BGM has been fairly unmemorable, but it sets a good tone and has a bit of a different feel to it. Not much to say about that. For the Opening and Ending, I wasn't a huge fan of the OP song, as I found it too generic for my tastes, but I love the ED song. It's done by nano.RIPE, and I do enjoy their music a good bit. The full OP and ED videos only both showed up in episode 6, and they're not bad. The ending looks good, certainly, much better than the panning pictures that served as the ED in the previous episodes.

Plot/Characters:
I love the characters in this show. They are all interesting. Maou is a good straight man, and he often ends up being quite weird himself at times. It's funny how Ashiya pretty much acts like a housewife, Chiho is almost a stalker at times, and Urushihara/Lucifer is basically looking to become a shut-in. Only Emi acts somewhat dully, often falling into the dreaded tsundere pit. The plot is interesting as well, and explores the various interactions between the two worlds, as well as various politics and such that occur in Ente Isla.

Overall:
I like it. It's funny, the characters are interesting and play off each other nicely, and the plot keeps me interested. This is good show.
I shall grant it 8/10 castles.

I Swear to God this is not an Anime Blog - Hataraku Maou-sama! Episode 1 Review

This will be my first review, but as mentioned in the title, I swear this is not an Anime blog. Anyway, onto the review.

I had no fucking clue what to expect from this show, apart from what the title told me, that it would involve a demon lord working. Indeed it was, indeed it was. The first few minutes were just a typical fantasy set-up, with demons and heroes and shit. It was after Maou and his servant went through the portal that things got ridiculous. Most of the humour was just from them trying and failing to interact with our world, and it was pulled off fairly well. I found it quite funny, and I'm looking forward to more. Seeing Maou change throughout the course of the episode was interesting as wll, and I want to see where this aspect will go.
One negative thing though: Maou and Ashiya/Alsiel initially spoke some wierd and (I assume) made up language, with Japanese subtitles. Eventually though, around when they were in the police station, they begin speaking perfect Japanese. Then, when looking for a house, Maou is suddenly speaking in the shittiest broken Japanese I have ever heard. Nothing too big, just an inconsistency that bugged and distracted me from the show.

Anyway, overall, not bad. Will watch more.
I give it 7/10 castles.

I Will Review Shit. Eventually.

Welp. First post. As it says at the top, I will review shit. Whatever shit I want. Music, games, movies, shows, anime, whatever. I will then grade it on an arbitrary scale that means nothing to anyone apart from myself, and no one can argue, as what I say is law.
Good day, sir.
